Initiatives
HDRN Canada undertakes various initiatives that advance the strategic objectives of the network to facilitate multi-regional data access in order to improve health outcomes and health equity across Canadian health systems. Broadly, these grant-funded initiatives support the development of data access services while working to diversify and harmonize data. Initiatives take a privacy-sensitive approach to data use, embedding Indigenous data sovereignty and the need for ongoing public involvement as foundational to our work. They also build and strengthen key partnerships in the health data space and establish HDRN Canada as a leader in evolving data practices.
Distributed Analysis
Distributed Analysis is a class of methods for conducting multi-regional data analysis without pooling data in a single location. SPOR Canadian Data Platform
The SPOR Canadian Data Platform (SPOR CDP) infrastructure supports improved access to health data, automation to support data access requests, and ongoing engagement with the public, patients and Indigenous communities.
Pragmatic Trials Training Program
The HDRN Canada Pragmatic Trials Training Program is an initiative that helps researchers use real-world data in trials to generate real-world evidence and improve health care services and policy.
